VEON CEO denies rumors on 2018 talks to sell VimpelCom

MOSCOW, Feb 25 (PRIME) -- Amsterdam-based telecom holding VEON held no negotiations in 2018 to sell its Russian mobile operator VimpelCom, working under the Beeline brand, VEON CEO Ursula Burns said on Monday during a conference call.

Blomberg reported last week that VEON negotiated the sale of VimpelCom with Russian state-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom in 2018, but the talks flopped.
